Refund policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days from the date you received your item to request a return. In store orders are calculated from date of purchase, online orders from date of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Note the cost of the return is at the buyers expense and will need to be sent to the following address:
Po box 63, Lorne, 3232

Items sent to us without first requesting a return will not be processed.


Exchanges
If your return is accepted, we offer exchanges for another size or colour of the same product. If you are after a different product or we do not have the desired variant in stock, we will arrange a store credit. Shipping of exchanged items is at the buyers expense. 


Refunds
If you have received a faulty product, or a product that isn't as described and your return has been approved, you’ll be automatically refunded via your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

In store purchases can only be refunded in store. We apologise for any inconveniences this may cause. Likewise, online purchases can only be refunded online.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, that includes but is not limited to; incorrect size, colour, or fit. However, store credit can be arranged.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@gentlethreads.net.au.


Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receiving and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as made to measure garments, candles and beauty products. 
Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
